What is a complete RIGID kitchen?

A complete RIGID kitchen unit has the door and drawer fronts pre-fitted at the factory. The units are manufactured rigid in the factory using glue and dowel construction unlike some cheaper 'rigid built' units which are assembled flat pack items. Our complete kitchen units minimise installation costs and can avoid costly door machining errors on site. Because the units are fully built-up, missing assembly components are a thing of the past. This is the most popular type of unit we supply, to both trade professionals and private clients.

Can I buy units only?

Yes. If you require only kitchen units then we are happy to supply these without doors. The quality will be the same as our studio kitchens featured on our website and we can customise the units if you have a specific requirement. What drawers are fitted?

We only supply BLUMOTION full extension soft close drawerboxes with double skinned sides and solid 16mm MFC base. All top drawers are 450mm deep.The new Blum INTIVO drawerbox in gloss white is also available as a no cost option, please specify when ordering.

What is the specification of your pan drawers?

Pan drawers are BLUMOTION full extension soft close drawerboxes as above but with full box sides as standard and 500mm depth, giving extra space in each drawer. The box sides are compatible with all Blum Orgaline dividers and cross rails for effective storage solutions. We can also supply units with several depths of drawerbox, 270mm, 350mm, 400mm, 450mm, 500mm and a huge 650mm. Please call for more information.

What hinge system do you use?

Hinges are very important in kitchens because they must be strong, durable and give a nice weighted feel to the doors when opening and closing. We use Blum clip-top 120 degree hinges for ease of access with screw covers and hinge mounted soft close buffers on all conventionally mounted doors

Which hinge mounting plate system do you use?

We converted to the Blum diecast in-line mounting plate last year, for several reasons including aesthetics and strength. The plate is socket mounted with 10mm dowels positioned horizontally, this means the plate will never ever work loose and your doors will stay in perfect adjustment for years to come..

Why ABS edging?

We use 2mm ABS edging on our cabinets for two main reasons. ABS is a tough and durable material with significantly better performance than the cheaper PVC edging commonly found on budget kitchen units. ABS is also a more environmentally friendly material than PVC.

The timber ranges have custom door size options for a truly bespoke kitchen (please call for information) and include both traditional and contemporary door styles. Only the finest premium grade timbers are used and all have a natural character and warmth which has to be seen to be appreciated.

Can I buy doors only?

Yes. We can supply Burbidge, Second Nature, Parapan and Solari doors seperately for fitting to your own cabinets. We will beat any competitors price on door only orders. Please call us for a quote.

Can I order custom size doors & custom units?

The Second Nature door range is standard sizes only and no customization is possible. Many Burbidge door ranges offer special size options and our Solari hi-gloss doors can be made to virtually any size. Kitchen units can be custom manufactured to your specification. What materials are your doors made from?

We have a huge range of doors including solid timber, wood veneer, vinyl wrap, foil wrap and painted. All of them are made to exacting standards by leading manufacturers and many are FIRA approved.

What are the delivery charges for kitchen units?

We have 2 basic charges for all kitchen unit deliveries based on mainland locations as follows:-

England & Wales £150 inc VAT

Scotland £300 inc VAT
